Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who represents Florida's 13th district in Congress, addressed several issues through her social media platform. She has made statements on the voting rights of new mothers in Congress, sparking discussions on representation and legislative priorities.

"@SpeakerJohnson called me after President Trump's statement of support, and we discussed limiting the vote to just new moms who cannot travel because of health concerns. This is smart. Only 13 members of Congress have given birth while serving in US history. I also told", Luna tweeted on April 4, 2025, highlighting a conversation concerning the accommodation of new mothers in legislative voting processes. She noted the limited number of women in Congress who have given birth while in office.

On the same day, Luna responded to allegations regarding voting rights with the message, "Not true. Just for new moms in case they need to. Also, you voted by proxy. @RepMTG". This tweet, posted at 3:30 AM UTC, served to clarify her stance on proxy voting for new mothers and called out Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for proxy voting.

Later that day, Luna addressed the exemption of Congress from the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) through a separate tweet. "Federal workers are covered under FMLA but Congress is exempt. My resolution is to allow someone to continue to vote. So you’re intentionally misleading or just not informed. You voted by proxy on vacation. I think you should take your own advice @RepMTG", she posted, reiterating her proposal for voting accommodations and criticizing the misinformation concerning legislative positions.
