Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 13th district since 2023, has recently expressed her views on several issues through social media posts. Luna, who replaced Charlie Crist in Congress and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, is vocal about various matters ranging from pharmaceutical advertisements to governmental transparency.
In a post dated March 25, 2025, Luna criticized the pharmaceutical industry for its television advertising strategies. She stated, "Big Pharma floods the TV airwaves with ads, pushing pills over wellness." She emphasized that these commercials are manipulative due to their juxtaposition of happy imagery with potential side effects and called for a ban on such advertisements.
On the same day at a later time, Luna addressed proxy voting practices by government officials. In her post she challenged Speaker Johnson's stance on proxy voting for new parents. "Here are some documents showing him voting by proxy in the 117th Congress," she remarked while questioning his claims about its constitutionality.
Further into the evening of March 25, 2025, Luna commented on past federal investigations. She highlighted what she perceives as misconduct during the "Russiagate" investigation in her tweet mentioning President Biden. Luna conveyed optimism regarding future accountability: "Now...the American people will be able to see what an absolute sham it was."
