Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 13th district, recently shared her views on various issues through a series of tweets. Luna, who has been serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Charlie Crist, addressed topics ranging from sanctuary cities to social security.

On March 26, 2025, Luna expressed concerns regarding sanctuary cities and their compliance with federal law. She stated that her office had reached out to the Department of Justice (DOJ) to inquire about the status of criminal referrals for mayors of sanctuary cities. According to Luna, "We reached out to the DOJ yesterday and inquired on the status of the criminal referral for the sanctuary city mayors breaking federal law. They confirmed receipt of our inquiry; however, the DOJ needs to aggressively pursue this. Sanctuary cities are BAD and break federal law." Link

Later that day, Luna questioned the authenticity of certain "War Plans" in another tweet. She argued that documents lacking critical information such as names, targets, locations, units, routes, sources, methods, or classified information could not genuinely be considered war plans: "If the 'War Plans' have: No names No targets No locations No units No routes No sources No methods And no classified information They probably aren’t 'War Plans.'" In a subsequent tweet on March 26th at 20:26 UTC, Luna responded to comments made by Chuck Schumer regarding Republican intentions towards Social Security and Medicare programs. She countered Schumer's claims by stating that Republicans aim to protect these programs rather than dismantle them: "Chuck Schumer claims Republicans want to dismantle Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid; but the reality is we’re working to safeguard these programs." She further accused Democrats of using fear tactics instead of truth when communicating with Americans: "The left uses fear tactics—not the truth—when they speak to the American public." Link
