Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 13th district, has made several recent public statements in support of a pro-family resolution related to proxy voting. Luna, who has been a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing Charlie Crist, has taken to social media to express her views and appreciation toward those who support her initiatives.

On April 3, 2025, Rep. Luna expressed gratitude to the President for his support, noting a particular focus on supporting "recovering new moms" within her conference. "I appreciate your support, Mr. President. I want our entire conference - including the recovering new moms among us - to be able to pass your agenda through Congress" she wrote.

Later that day, Luna expressed confidence in passing her proxy voting resolution with assistance from President Trump, ensuring that new parents in Congress will have the opportunity to vote on the "America First agenda." She acknowledged the members of Congress who supported her efforts. "I'm confident that with President Trump's support, my proxy voting resolution will pass, and new moms and dads in Congress will be able to vote for the America First agenda we promised. Thank you to the Members of Congress who stood with me when it wasn't easy." Tim Burchett was explicitly mentioned in her acknowledgment.

Later that evening, Luna thanked the President again for backing the resolution, which she clarified does not aim to return to universal proxy voting. She emphasized its importance for maintaining the majority needed to advance the President's agenda. "Thank you @POTUS for supporting this pro-family resolution! Despite misinformation, this is *not* a return to universal proxy voting. This will help preserve our majority to pass the president’s agenda " she stated.

Luna, who resides in St. Petersburg, was born in Santa Ana, California, and holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida.
