In Honor of "National Arts and Humanities Month,"
Below is a list of activities ...
Things YOU can do for National Arts and Humanities Month
1. Visit a museum
2. Read a book out loud
3. Make a short Youtube or Instagram video saying what the arts mean to you
4. During dinner, have a family member share one creative thing they did that day
5. Donate used books to local schools & libraries and encourage your friends to do the same.
6. Go to a matinee performance with your kids
7. Recognize someone on social media who has contributed time or talent to the arts in your community.
8. Take a class in papermaking
…or painting
…or modern dance
…or creative writing
9. Become a fan of National Arts & Humanities Month on Facebook and invite friends to do the same.
10. Read the arts section of your newspaper first
11. Take up a musical instrument or re-kindle your interest in one!
12. Sing, play music, read a book, dance, or draw by yourself, with your kids, or with friends!
