Make sure your emergency kit is stocked with the items on the checklist below. Most of the items are inexpensive and easy to find and any one of them could save your life. During a disaster, families need to prepare for the long haul. It is recommended at least a month's supply of prescribed medicines be on hand, as well as a typical first-aid kit with Band-Aids, antibiotic cream, headache medicine and antacids.
