Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 13th district, has made recent announcements on social media regarding new legislative measures and her stance on entitlement programs. Luna, who succeeded Charlie Crist in 2023 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, is actively engaging with policy initiatives.

On March 14, 2025, Rep. Luna introduced the SHRED Act aimed at increasing criminal penalties for offenses related to government documents. She stated: "BREAKING: Today, I introduced the SHRED Act, which would significantly increase criminal penalties for hiding, damaging, or destroying government files." She highlighted that the current maximum sentence of three years for such offenses is inadequate.

Additionally, she posted a tweet linking to further information on March 14 without additional commentary: "https://t.co/z1xmWhcAnH"

The following day, on March 15, Rep. Luna addressed concerns about entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicaid. She emphasized the need to tackle waste and fraud to ensure their sustainability: "If we fail to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicaid, these programs will collapse due to escalating costs." She clarified that her initiative aims to protect benefits for future generations.
