City of Safety Harbor issued the following announcement on Nov. 18
There will be modifications to our Safety Harbor Sanitation collection schedule during November and December 2020. Attached is the modified schedule for Sanitation/Yard Waste/Recycling collection for the months of November and December.
Here are the changes:
• NO recycling collection on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th. In order to accommodate recycling pick-up, Thursday recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, November 25th. Yard waste collection will be suspended. Place yard waste with your regular trash for Monday or Tuesday bulk collection during this week.
• NO yard waste collection on Wednesday, December 2nd in order for staff to attend mandatory, annual Public Works safety training. Place yard waste with your regular trash for Monday or Tuesday bulk collection during this week.
• NO recycling collection on Christmas Day, December 25th. In order to accommodate recycling pick-up, Friday recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, December 23rd. Yard waste collection will be suspended. Place yard waste with your regular trash for Monday or Tuesday bulk collection during this week.
• NO recycling collection on New Year’s Day, January 1st. In order to accommodate recycling pick-up, Friday recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, December 30th. Yard waste collection will be suspended. Place yard waste with your regular trash for Monday or Tuesday bulk collection during this week.
The Holidays can be very busy and Public Works wants to make sure residents are aware of changes to their sanitation services during this time and can plan accordingly, so please share this information with your fellow neighbors.
