Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, representing Florida's 13th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared her views on social media regarding Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and ongoing national security issues. Luna, who has been serving in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Charlie Crist, expressed her concerns through a series of tweets.
On February 21, 2025, Luna criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky by stating that he has allegedly mismanaged U.S. military aid and taken authoritarian measures within Ukraine. "Not only has Zelensky 'lost' billions of dollars in U.S. military aid, but he has suspended elections, banned political opposition, infringed on free speech, and is actively threatening religious freedom," she wrote. Luna concluded her tweet by labeling these actions as characteristic of a dictator.
Later that day, on February 21, 2025, Luna commented on the declining trust in Zelensky among Ukrainians since the onset of the war. She noted a significant drop in public confidence from 90% to 52%. "Trust in Volodymyr Zelensky among Ukrainians has dropped by 40 points since the war began," she remarked before questioning why America should maintain its trust if his own people do not.
In another tweet on February 21, 2025, Luna discussed federal cooperation with a Task Force examining national security documents. She stated that all federal agencies are collaborating and will provide necessary briefings soon. "All federal agencies are cooperating with the Task Force and will provide the requested briefings in the coming weeks," she assured her followers while preparing for an upcoming hearing scheduled for March 26.
