Anna Paulina Luna addresses FEMA misinformation and honors police chief

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 13th district, recently addressed several issues through her social media platform. Her posts included clarifications regarding FEMA letters for building permits, a stance on illegal immigration, and a recognition of Chief Robert Vincent's service.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Luna stated that she has been receiving numerous communications from constituents about being misinformed by cities regarding FEMA letters needed for building permits. She clarified this misinformation by stating: "PSA: I've been receiving calls and emails from constituents who've been told by the cities they're waiting on a substantial damage letter from FEMA to issue building permits. This is FALSE and MISLEADING." Luna emphasized that upon contacting FEMA, they confirmed that such letters are not necessary.

Later that day, Rep. Luna expressed her views on immigration policy with a brief statement: "Illegal immigration is destroying America."

In another post made on December 6, 2024, Rep. Luna shared an update regarding her staff's participation in a retirement ceremony for Chief Robert Vincent of the Gulfport Police Department. She noted: "My staff attended Chief Robert Vincent's retirement ceremony and presented him with a letter thanking him for 30 incredible years of service to the Gulfport Police Department. Enjoy retirement, Chief!"
