Florida Suncoast Sierra Club issued the following announcement on Feb. 21.
MARCH 2023 Endorsement Alert: Happy to endorse Deborah Toth for re-election to Treasure Island City Commission D1
During her first term in office, Commissioner Toth was instrumental in helping the Gulf Beaches Public Library improve its energy efficiency and move Treasure Island forward with the implementation of its sustainability plan. She supports “re-development not overdevelopment” and has worked on hardening the infrastructure of Treasure Island to prepare for sea level rise. She helped the city of Treasure Island ban the use of pesticides in public parks and voted to approve multifamily recycling.
Deborah “Deb” Toth understands the importance of Florida’s environment to the well-being of our communities and our economy and has clearly demonstrated that she deserves to be re-elected to the Treasure Island City Commission.
