CONGRATS TO SPPD's FIRST SEMIANNUAL AWARDS RECIPIENTS!
Mayor Welch and Council Chair Gina Driscoll joined Chief Holloway in presenting awards to five outstanding employees at the semi-annual awards ceremony today.
• Officer of Distinction - Sgt. Anthony Alli, recognized, for his impactful approach to rebuild ties between the police department and neighborhood associations and for his work with the community.
• 2021 Judge Mark Shames Probationary Officer of the Year - Officer James DeMaria, for outstanding work as a new patrol officer.
• 2021 Robin Greene Memorial Civilian Employee of the Year - Tom Powell, Maintenance Mechanic, for his proactive approach to his responsibilities in several vital building improvement projects.
• Civilian Employee of Distinction - Kevin Christy, IT Programming Specialist , for his work in the development of several analytic tools for the Department.
• 2021 Telecommunicator of the Year Award - Alexa Paugh, Public Safety Telecommunicator, for her outstanding work in dealing with critical incidents.
