Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 13th district since 2023, has taken to social media to express her views on the legal case involving Tory Lanez. Luna replaced former U.S. Congress member Charlie Crist and is known for her active engagement in legislative matters and public discourse.
On May 19, 2025, Luna shared an image on Twitter without accompanying text. The post did not provide further details or context.
Later that day, Luna issued a call to action directed at California Governor Gavin Newsom regarding Tory Lanez’s legal situation. In her tweet, she stated: “I am calling on Gov. Newsom @CAgovernor to review Tory Lanez’s case and issue a pardon.” She argued that Lanez’s ten-year sentence was influenced by “flawed evidence, political pressure, and prosecutorial bias,” asserting that justice should remain impartial rather than being swayed by media narratives.
Continuing her advocacy for Lanez, Luna announced via Twitter on May 20, 2025: “We have compelling evidence proving Tory Lanez’s innocence.” She promised the release of this evidence within the next 36 hours and warned those involved in his prosecution of potential accountability for their actions.
Anna Paulina Luna was born in Santa Ana, California in 1989 and currently resides in St. Petersburg. A graduate of the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree obtained in 2017, she previously served in the Florida House of Representatives before taking office at the national level.
