Later that day, she raised concerns about food safety by questioning the use of certain chemicals in food products. She tweeted: "Should the chemicals used on yoga mats be in our food? NO. Azodicarbonamide, the 'yoga mat chemical,' is a blowing agent in plastics and rubber. We also allow it as a bleaching agent and dough conditioner. Our food should never include chemicals meant for rubber!"
On January 28, 2025, Rep. Luna highlighted potential health risks associated with fluoride in drinking water by stating: "Fluoride in our drinking water is linked to a serious decrease in IQ, especially in children. We must protect Americans' health and ban fluoride from our water immediately!"
