ST. PETERSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT: A 64-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the New Year's Day armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street North.

St. Petersburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 14. 

Pharmacy Robbery Update

A 64-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the New Year's Day armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street North.

Detectives identified Mark Allendale Farmer (DOB 01/02/1959) as the pharmacy robbery suspect and took him into custody Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023.

Within two hours after the start of the new year, Farmer entered the CVS wearing dark colored clothing, dark colored gloves and a cap. He approached the checkout counter and demanded money from the cashier. He also implied he had a weapon. When the cashier handed over the cash, Farmer left the store.
