St. Petersburg Police Department issued the following announcement on May 13.
Patrolling in Paradise
Our Marine Unit is a huge part of policing in St. Petersburg so our Public Safety Cadets went on a boat ride to learn what they do and how they keep other boaters safe.
When boating you should always:
Check your safety equipment
Check the weather forecast
Tell someone your boating plan
Remember that driving a boat under the influence is a crime!
