St. Petersburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Mar. 23.
Today the Northeast Exchange Club honored Officer Ray Merritt as the 2021 Reserve Officer of the Year!
Reserve Ofc. Merritt retired in 2017 after serving 36 years as a SPPD Officer. He didn’t stop there though, he soon returned to SPPD to work as a Reserve Officer and continue to serve his community.
Thank you Reserve Ofc. Merritt for your continued service and dedication to the St. Pete community.
