St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation recently issued the following announcement.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, drowning is the leading cause of injury death in US children 1 to 4 years of age and the third leading cause of unintentional injury death among US children and adolescents 5 to 19 years of age.
To fight these tragic statistics, we must work together as a community. The St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department and St. Petersburg Fire Rescue are teaming up to raise money to provide free swim lessons to children in need.
100% OF DONATIONS WILL GO TOWARD FREE SWIM LESSONS to qualifying children at any City of St. Petersburg pool.
