City Of Pinellas Park, Fl issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
This time of year it gets a bit chilly, so here is a great reminder from our beloved Pinellas Park Fire Department about space heaters. Heating equipment is involved in 1 of every 6 reported home fires, & 1 in every 5 home fire deaths. Make sure that you turn them off when leaving the room, leaving you house or before going to bed. Also keep your space heater away from flammable objects when in use & never plug into an extension cord/power strip. Just want to keep everyone safe & cozy! #StayWarm #Unplug
