CITY OF ST. PETE BEACH: Vaccine Update from Pinellas County Government

Sars

City of St. Pete Beach issued the following announcement on Jan. 7

Despite some early technical issues, the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County has completed pre-registration for the first 3,000 COVID-19 vaccines – all doses sent to the department to date.

The state-run agency is teaming up with Pinellas County government in a joint effort to make it easy for people to sign up for future vaccines doses when available, including a new platform for booking appointments and 4 additional vaccine sites.

This week’s vaccine shipment from the state is only a start in vaccinating around 250K 65+ residents prioritized by the governor – more shipments are expected in the coming weeks. Pinellas was also one of the first counties in a pilot program with the Dept. of Health in December that vaccinated 12K+ people in long-term care facilities.

When additional vaccines arrive, you can get the latest info here: https://covid19.pinellascounty.org/vaccines/
