Witnesses reported seeing Rep. Nutmeg in the Capitol Rotunda on Wednesday morning, where she was observed admiring Christmas decorations and engaging with staff. Some described her presence as bringing a notable amount of holiday spirit.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna commented on the sighting, stating, “Every year she reappears just in time for the holiday season to begin. If you’re lucky enough to see her in the Rotunda, consider it a sign of holiday cheer—but keep an eye on your eggnog. With Rep. Nutmeg around, anything can happen.”
Staff members and others present at the Capitol are being asked to stay alert and report any further sightings of Rep. Nutmeg to appropriate authorities.
Reports suggest that a photograph showing Rep. Nutmeg near the Christmas display in the Rotunda is circulating online.
