Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 13th district, has been vocal on several issues via her social media presence. On May 13, 2025, she addressed topics ranging from international criminal activity to domestic policy and pharmaceutical costs.
In a tweet posted at 01:10:13 UTC, Luna shared “This footage has never been seen outside of El Salvador. It shows mass graves used by criminal gang terrorists, uncovered by the Salvadoran government.” She highlighted El Salvador’s transformation under President Nayib Bukele from being known as the “Murder Capital of the World” due to terrorist control over many aspects of life in the country.
Later that day at 02:19:09 UTC, Luna criticized certain politicians for their actions concerning immigration facilities. She stated “The politicians storming immigration facilities to defend criminal aliens have lost the plot. We are elected to serve the American people—not foreign nationals.” She argued that officials defending individuals with serious criminal backgrounds were violating their oaths and should not hold public office.
By 15:14:35 UTC on the same day, Luna expressed her support for an executive order issued by former President Donald Trump aimed at reducing pharmaceutical costs in America. In her tweet she remarked “I fully support Trump’s executive order to lower pharmaceutical costs for Americans.” She emphasized her independence from major pharmaceutical companies and encouraged scrutiny of those opposing such measures.
Anna Paulina Luna was born in Santa Ana, California in 1989 and resides in St. Petersburg. A graduate of the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 2017, she succeeded Charlie Crist as a member of Congress in 2023 after serving previously in the Florida House of Representatives.
