On May 9, 2025, Rep. Luna expressed gratitude for leadership by tweeting “We are stronger together. Grateful for the bold leadership of @nayibbukele “. This post underscores her appreciation towards El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele.
Later that day, she addressed a significant matter concerning federal transparency and justice system accountability. She announced via Twitter “BREAKING: Yesterday, in response to Virginia Giuffre’s passing and a continued lack of response from the DOJ, I led the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets in demanding the release of the Epstein Files and Client List no later than May 16th.” The tweet highlights her role in pushing for declassification related to high-profile cases.
In a subsequent post at nearly the same time, she provided further information about this initiative by sharing a link to her press release “Read my full press release here:”, inviting constituents and interested parties to learn more about her demands from the Department of Justice.
Anna Paulina Luna has been representing Florida’s 13th District since 2023 after succeeding Charlie Crist. She was born in Santa Ana, California in 1989 and resides in St. Petersburg. A graduate of the University of West Florida with a BS degree earned in 2017, Luna continues her legislative work with an emphasis on both local concerns and broader national issues.
