Luna announced the introduction of the “American Privacy Restoration Act,” aimed at fully repealing the Patriot Act and removing mass surveillance powers from intelligence officers. She noted that since the USA Patriot Act’s passage after 9/11, intelligence agencies have wielded extraordinary powers.
