Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who represents Florida’s 13th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of policy issues on her Twitter account, focusing on environmental concerns, energy costs, and election legislation.
On May 16, 2026, Luna stated, “The pesticides being used in our food are causing a massive population decline in the United States.”
The following day, she turned her attention to fuel prices and legislative action: “Gas prices directly impact every American. We need to put party politics aside and pass my American Families Gas Tax Relief Act (H.R. 8795) to temporarily remove the federal gas tax for 120 days, taking 18 cents off gas and 24 cents off diesel. This is commonsense legislation.” The tweet was posted on May 17, 2026.
Later that same day, Luna discussed voter identification policies and recent legislative efforts: “Voter ID and the SAVE Act have overwhelming bipartisan support, yet @LeaderJohnThune continues to block it. President Trump mandated this get done, and I’ll make sure the SAVE Act is included in FISA or housing. Thune cannot ignore it now.”
Anna Paulina Luna has served as a member of Congress since replacing Charlie Crist in 2023 after previously serving in the Florida House of Representatives. She was born in Santa Ana, California in 1989 and currently resides in St. Petersburg at age 33. Luna graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2017.
