Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a U.S. Congress member representing Florida’s 13th district, recently shared her experiences and viewpoints through several social media posts. Luna has been serving in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Charlie Crist. She was born in Santa Ana, California, and resides in St. Petersburg.

On May 5, 2025, Luna expressed her honor at being a guest speaker during the White House Cinco de Mayo celebration. In her post she stated, “It was an honor to be guest speaker at the White House Cinco de Mayo celebration today!”

In another tweet on May 6, 2025, Luna addressed concerns regarding child safety and taxpayer funding allocation. She indicated plans to communicate with House leadership and DOGE about a concerning report by stating: “We’ll be writing to House leadership and DOGE to address this disgusting report… If you can’t keep children safe—and worse, are complicit in their abuse—you do NOT deserve a dime of taxpayer funding.” The tweet also mentioned Elon Musk.

Later that day, on May 6, 2025, Luna expressed gratitude with a brief message: “Thank you!!! “

Anna Paulina Luna graduated from the University of West Florida in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
