Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 13th district, addressed issues ranging from illegal immigration at a Georgia Hyundai plant to congressional insider trading in a series of posts on her official social media account.
On September 5, 2025, Luna commented on recent law enforcement activity at an auto manufacturing facility: “Over 450 illegal immigrants were apprehended at a Hyundai plant in Georgia. The real question: Why was Hyundai employing them in the first place? Illegal immigration is not “compassionate” and it’s not a pathway to the American Dream, it’s modern-day labor trafficking and human” (posted September 5, 2025).
Later that day, she criticized financial misconduct within government ranks: “Insider trading is incredibly corrupt and yet members of Congress do it all the time! ON BOTH SIDES! It is time to ban insider trading!” (posted September 5, 2025).
On September 6, Luna posted a lighter message referencing Speaker Johnson: “Selfie King in progress @SpeakerJohnson” (posted September 6, 2025).
Anna Paulina Luna began serving as the representative for Florida’s 13th district in Congress after replacing Charlie Crist in 2023. She previously served in the Florida House of Representatives and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida. Born in Santa Ana, California in 1989, Luna currently resides in St. Petersburg.
