Anna Paulina Luna, U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 13th district, recently engaged her followers with several important announcements and expressions of condolence on social media.
On April 26, Luna expressed her condolences to the family of Virginia Guthrie, a figure known for speaking out against Jeffrey Epstein. In her post, she stated, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Virginia Guthrie, who bravely came forward to bring Jeffrey Epstein to justice. We will continue to push the DOJ to release the Epstein files, as the American people deserve to know the truth.” She reinforced her commitment to uncovering the truth about Epstein’s activities, stressing the seriousness of trafficking as a crime.
On April 28, Luna posted about a tragic boating accident that occurred near Memorial Causeway. Addressing the incident, she said, “Andy and I are heartbroken by the news of the boating accident near Memorial Causeway. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this tragedy. Please keep the families in your thoughts, and if you know anything that could help, reach out to local authorities.” Her appeal urged those with information to assist local authorities.
Later that day, Luna shared her experiences visiting Eckerd College, where she interacted with the Marine Science faculty and students. She remarked on the college’s notable achievement, stating, “It was an honor to meet with Eckerd College Marine Science faculty & students to learn more about their research into Pinellas County’s aquatic ecosystems. Eckerd College has more NOAA Hollings Scholars than any other college or university in the country.” Luna highlighted their contributions to local aquatic research and the prestige of their academic programs.
Anna Paulina Luna, who began serving in the U.S. Congress in 2023 following her predecessor Charlie Crist, resides in St. Petersburg. Born in Santa Ana, California, Luna graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida in 2017.
