Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who represents Florida’s 13th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on February 16 and 17, 2026, expressing support for President Trump and advocating for voter ID requirements.
On February 16, Luna marked the federal holiday with a message to the sitting president: “Happy President’s Day to the GOAT @POTUS It’s an honor to serve in Congress during your presidency “.
Later that day, she addressed election security measures in another post: “Thank you, President Trump! Voter ID is a must deliver for the American people and this is mandatory to secure elections!”.
The following morning, Luna continued her focus on voter identification laws by referencing former President Obama and her own experience as a legislator: “Was it Jim Crow when Obama used ID to vote? I can’t even vote on the House floor without my Member ID card. Voter ID is not racist, it’s basic common sense. Pass it now and secure a massive win for generations to come.”
Anna Paulina Luna has represented Florida’s 13th district since replacing Charlie Crist in 2023. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Santa Ana, California in 1989, Luna resides in St. Petersburg and graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2017.
