Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 13th district since 2023, recently posted several critical tweets targeting government spending and the media.
On July 17, 2025, Luna compared the cost of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s office renovations to major sports stadium projects, writing: “Jerome Powell’s office renovations ($2.5B) cost more than the new Titans stadium in Nashville ($2.1 B) or the new Bills stadium in Buffalo ($2.2 B). That is insane.”
Later that day, Luna criticized a major news outlet and referenced former President Donald Trump, stating: “The Wall Street Journal is a flop. Trump should sue.” She continued her criticism with another post on July 18, 2025: “Please don’t show this to the Wall Street Journal. It is a hand sketch. They may think I’m a sex trafficker.”
Luna has represented Florida’s 13th district since succeeding Charlie Crist in 2023 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. She was born in Santa Ana, California in 1989 and currently resides in St. Petersburg. Luna holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida.
