Luna, who replaced Charlie Crist in 2023 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, is known for her active engagement on various national issues.
On March 6, 2025, Rep. Luna criticized President Biden and his Democratic allies regarding immigration policy at the border. She stated that “The sudden, drastic decline in migrant encounters at the border is solid proof that President Biden and his Democratic allies intentionally violated the safety and security of the American people for political gain.” Luna accused them of choosing not to enforce immigration law.
The following day, March 7, 2025, she commented on military recruitment under President Trump’s administration: “In just under two months since President Trump’s inauguration, military recruitment has SURGED!” She attributed this surge to a renewed sense of pride among Americans willing to fight for their country.
Later on March 7, Rep. Luna addressed international relations concerning financial aid to Ukraine. She remarked that “Not only has Zelenskyy admitted he can’t account for the billions of dollars we’ve already sent.” Luna expressed dissatisfaction with Ukraine’s requests for additional funds while praising President Trump’s stance against what she perceives as exploitation by America’s allies.
