Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 13th district since 2023, posted a series of statements on social media on February 23, 2026, addressing concerns over violence in Mexico and allegations related to election security legislation.
In her first post at 2:30 a.m., Luna expressed concern for civilians affected by cartel violence in Mexico, stating, “Our prayers are with the innocent civilians that are being terrorized right now by the cartels in Mexico. Mexico sadly is becoming a failed state.”

At 4:28 p.m., Luna commented on domestic political issues, alleging Democratic opposition to proposed voting reforms. She wrote, “Democrats are actively working to sabotage the Save America Act and block Voter ID while simultaneously accusing President Trump of trying to ‘steal’ the midterms. Make it make sense.”
Anna Paulina Luna succeeded Charlie Crist as representative of Florida’s 13th congressional district in 2023 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. She was born in Santa Ana, California in 1989 and currently resides in St. Petersburg. Luna holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida, earned in 2017.
