Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 13th district since 2023, has recently addressed concerns regarding election security and legislative efforts in a series of posts on her social media account.

On February 17, 2026, Luna wrote, “America is dangerously lagging behind the rest of the world on election security. It’s long past time to enact strong national voter ID laws and join the vast majority of countries that solved this issue decades ago. To restore full public trust in our elections, we must secure”.

Later that day, she posted a clarification about Venezuela’s geography: “Since there appears to be some confusion, Venezuela is in fact north of the equator “.

In another message from February 17, Luna expressed appreciation for bipartisan support on pending legislation: “Thank you @SenatorCollins for being the 50th Senator to sign onto the SAVE America Act. Now @LeaderJohnThune MUST end the filibuster and bring it to the floor. There is no better use of time for Congress than securing our elections while we still carry the majority. If we don’t https://t.co/bfdZqITSvy”.

Luna began serving in Congress after replacing Charlie Crist in 2023 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. She was born in Santa Ana, California in 1989 and currently resides in St. Petersburg. Luna graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2017.
