Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 13th district since 2023, posted several statements on her social media accounts on January 8 and 9, 2026, addressing international religious concerns and matters of national security.

On January 8, Luna stated, “This morning I received a video appeal from Orthodox Christians in Kuzmyn, Ukraine asking for protection as the local authorities move to seize their church, a church built by their parents and grandparents. These illegal seizures must stop! We will be working to document”. The post referred to reported actions against an Orthodox Christian community in Ukraine.

Later that day, Luna addressed a domestic security issue: “I have referred Seth Harp to the DOJ for investigation and to pursue criminal charges regarding the intentional publication of information related to Operation Absolute Resolve, including the doxxing of a U.S. Delta Force operator. That conduct is not protected journalism. It was”. This tweet indicated she had taken steps to involve federal authorities over the disclosure of sensitive military information.

On January 9, Luna acknowledged further correspondence regarding these issues: “I am acknowledging receipt of this letter and will be phoning the State Department in the morning. @Dubinsky_pro”.

Anna Paulina Luna has represented Florida’s 13th District in Congress since replacing Charlie Crist in 2023. She previously served in the Florida House of Representatives and holds a BS from the University of West Florida (source: FACTS FOR STEP 4). Born in Santa Ana, California in 1989, Luna currently resides in St. Petersburg.
