Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 13th district since 2023, posted a series of tweets on January 5 and 6, 2026, addressing media coverage of threats against former Senator Marco Rubio and legislative developments.
On January 5, Luna wrote, “Left-wing media is BIG MAD that I was right about Maduro’s threats against Rubio. Imagine being in left-wing media and trying to run cover for Maduro after learning this. YIKES! Secretary Rubio, when he was a U.S. Senator, was assigned a security detail based on real, documented” (January 5, 2026).
The following day, she shared a tweet containing only a link: “https://t.co/WccGRp0N5x” (January 6, 2026).
Later on January 6, Luna announced the removal of a legislative section in response to public feedback: “Ty! SECTION 453 HAS BEEN REMOVED due to public feedback. https://t.co/1TgTHFnKgy” (January 6, 2026).
Anna Paulina Luna has served in Congress since replacing Charlie Crist in Florida’s 13th district in 2023. She previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida.
