Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 13th district since 2023, recently addressed her constituents on social media about government accountability and support during the ongoing shutdown.
On November 3, 2025, Luna posted criticism referencing California’s COVID-19 restrictions and high-profile officials’ conduct during the pandemic: “American Psycho is back at it again. Remember eating at French Laundry while California residents had to show papers to get around due to COVID-19?”
The following day, Luna shared additional information for her followers in two posts. The first was a link-only tweet on November 4: “https://t.co/IJt0uMgPHr”. In a subsequent post later that day, she provided resources for those affected by the government shutdown’s impact on food assistance programs: “Due to the government shutdown’s impact on SNAP, we have compiled some resources to support food security for constituents. We recommend residents needing food assistance dial 211 to find a food pantry nearest you. Please try to check online for each of these resources, to https://t.co/qJF3xKuDzU”.
Anna Paulina Luna succeeded Charlie Crist as representative of Florida’s 13th district after the 2022 election and has served in Congress since January 2023. Before joining Congress, she served in the Florida House of Representatives and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida in 2017. Born in Santa Ana, California in 1989, Luna currently resides in St. Petersburg.
