Representative Anna Paulina Luna, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 13th district since 2023, recently made several statements on social media addressing topics ranging from Federal Reserve leadership to allegations against fellow lawmakers and immigration policy.
On July 16, 2025, Luna posted that “Jerome Powell is going to be fired. Firing is imminent.” The statement did not provide further details regarding the circumstances or timeline of the Federal Reserve Chair’s potential dismissal.
Later that day, Luna addressed actions she has taken in Congress regarding Representative Adam Schiff. In her post dated July 16, 2025, she stated: “I successfully censured the disgraced Adam Schiff for lying to Congress. So it does not surprise me that he is being accused of mortgage fraud & more lies. He has now been hit with a criminal referral, and if found guilty should be punished to the full extent of the law.”
In a subsequent post on July 16, 2025, Luna commented on immigration policy and labor practices: “For years, elites hid behind the word ‘compassion’ to justify open borders. Come to find out, all they really wanted was illegal labor for slave wages. Illegal immigration is a pipeline for modern day slavery.”
Anna Paulina Luna was born in Santa Ana, California in 1989 and currently resides in St. Petersburg. She graduated from the University of West Florida in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives before her election to Congress.
